Room Viewing: Reid Hall

In London, you will be staying in a student dormitory in Regent's University, which is called Reid Hall. Depending on the type of room you get, there are triples, doubles and singles. I happened to get Room 318, which is a double as seen in the panoramic image below (please excuse the mess 😅). After checking in and giving a £10 security deposit, you'll get your student ID and room key.

Each room had a slightly different size and layout, but they were all spacious in my opinion. Even with two suitcases (mine and my roommate's), there is still enough space to walk around without things getting in the way. The school also provides clean sheets and a pillow (with a pillow case) and there are desks, chairs, wardrobes, and drawers under the beds. There is enough room to store clothes, shoes, bags, and other miscellaneous items. But, don't unpack everything. Just take out the necessary items like toiletries and live out of your suitcase. You'll only be here for a week and you don't want to have to pack everything again. Also, there is more than one bathroom on each floor. The one I used near my room had 4 sinks, 2 bathroom stalls, and showers, so there aren't any lines for the bathroom.

Each week on a designated day, you could bring used sheets to the laundry room on the second floor or track down one of the cleaning ladies to get new ones. Don't worry about getting lost on things, there is an RA available and the reception desk is more than happy to help!
